Zanfel Poison Ivy, Oak and Sumac Wash. Zanfel is the ONLY product clinically shown to remove the toxin urushiol ANYTIME after outbreak. This enables the effected area to immediately begin healing. After using the wash itching and pain are the first things to be relieved, usually in 30 seconds. For most mild to moderate cases, ONE application of Zanfel is all that is needed. If the itch returns, rewash with Zanfel as per the directions. If the itch is gone there is no need to reapply. Once the toxin is removed from the skin, the body begins the healing process. The rash will begin to subside within hours if the reaction is mild to moderate. Zanfel can be used in conjunction with steroids, especially for systemic reactions.
